Norris Lake Fishing

Douglas Lake Tennessee fishing East Tennessee Smoky Mountains. Norris Lake, a TVA reservoir just north of Knoxville with 809 miles of shoreline and 34,000 surface acres of water, offers a tremendous opportunity for the Smallmouth & Striper enthusiast. The daytime Bass action is best from February through April and again from October through November, while nighttime trips can produce awesome catches from June through September. Don’t forget that the months of December through January can offer up trophy Smallmouth. If you’re a Striper enthusiast looking for a chance to land a fish in the 30 to 40 lb. class, Norris is the lake for you. Norris provides a very real opportunity to catch one of these lunkers on just about any trip, with October through March being the prime time.

Lake Guided fishing trips are for Smallmouth Bass, Largemouth Bass, Crappie, Bluegill, Walleye, Sauger and Striper.  Other species of fish do inhabit these bodies of water and may be caught as well.

  • When booking your East Tennessee Fishing Adventure 30 days or more in advance, ask for the Early Booking Special and receive $25 off your East Tennessee Fishing Adventure!
  • We furnish all the bottled water, rods, reels, bait and tackle as needed at no extra charge. You’re more than welcome to bring your own fishing gear should you desire.
  • All that you need to supply is a fishing license, rain suit (just in case), and any preferred snacks and drinks (which may be placed in the boat cooler).
  • On 6 or 8hr trips we can take a short break for lunch.  Lunch may be purchased at a nearby marina (when available) or you’re welcome to bring a lunch to eat while on the lake.
  • Boat fishing trips require children to be accompanied by a parent or Legal Guardian.  Bring your own rods and reels or we will furnish you with a rods, reels, bait and tackle as needed.
  • All bass 2 pounds and above are catch and release only (* Except for Trophy).
  • Anglers must purchase Tennessee Fishing License and/or necessary permits if required. Other items you may wish to bring on your fishing trip are insect repellent, cap, sunglasses, snacks, drinks, camera, and rain gear (just in case).
Reservation and Cancellation Policy
  • Your card will not be charged a deposit when making your reservation, however it serves to hold your reservation and your $75.00 deposit.  At the time of your fishing trip you may pay by cash or credit card, checks cannot be accepted.
  • Your deposit of $75.00 will be charged for cancellation 30 days (or less) prior to your reserved fishing date or should you fail to show for your scheduled fishing trip.  Cancellations by the fishing guide for unsafe weather and/or hazardous conditions at the time of your scheduled fishing trip will not result in a loss of your deposit.

Fishing licenses are the client’s responsibility and may be purchased locally or in advance thru the State’s site Tennessee Fishing License.
