Douglas Lake Fishing

Douglas Lake, TN is a TVA(Tennessee Valley Authority) reservoir stretching through 43 scenic miles of East Tennessee Great Smoky Mountains foothills.  Formed from the French Broad River and its tributaries of the Nolichucky and Pigeon Rivers. Douglas Lake has 30,400 acres of water surface and 555 miles of shoreline. A short drive east of Knoxville and minutes from Sevierville, Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg, Douglas Lake attracts more than 1.7 million recreation visits per year and provides year-round fishing opportunities resulting in Douglas Lake’s being rated as one of the top 5 Crappie lakes in the nation and one of the top 10 in the nation for Largemouth Bass.  While March & April days provide some of the best Crappie & Bass fishing of the year, night trips for Bass or Crappie during the months of June, July and August are very popular.  Bluegill fishing is great from mid-May thru Sept. 1.  Spectacular Smoky Mountains fall foliage surrounds the lake in October, the great Crappie and Bass fishing available then continues thru Feb.  Come enjoy both the scenery of the Great Smoky Mountains and fantastic fishing on Douglas Lake your next fishing trip.

Our Tennessee fishing trips are conducted 362 days of the year on some of East Tennessee’s premier lakes and rivers.  Unless deemed unsafe, we’re ready to fish when you are.  East Tennessee guided fishing(angling) adventures are available to all ages.  If you’re planning a Smoky Mountains family vacation or heading to the Tennessee Smokies just to fish, be sure to give us a call.
