The Bass & Crappie Bite Is On Now!
The bass and crappie fishing should be great this month for numbers as well as size. The water temps have reached that magic temp and the fish are shallow. Providing anglers with a great opportunity to get out and catch plenty of nice fish. Look for the fish in the creek arms or coves on secondary points, in the pockets or on the flats in the spawning areas. While Rat-L-Traps, jigs, spinner baits, and A-Rigs all produce. It’s also time to break out the plastics. Try fishing your favorite plastic lure such as the Berkley Power Bait Lizard, Chigger Craw, or worm on a Texas rig or Carolina rig in the spawning areas for some fast action as well.

The Crappie should be on the bank by now and just a minnow fished on a plain gold #4 Aberdeen hook fished under a bobber anywhere from 2 to 6 feet should do the trick. You can still catch`em on a fly or your favorite plastic bait, but they seem to hit minnows better during the spawn than any other time of the year
